My name is Yana. I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. I did not come to art through technique. I came to it through a desire to understand what cannot be explained with words.
My paintings emerge from inner states, hidden processes, and the parts of ourselves that often remain unseen. I am interested not in the external world, but in the one that exists beneath it, our fears, questions, memories, hopes, and transformations.
I do not try to tell my own story. I create a space where people can encounter themselves.
My work does not offer answers. It invites reflection. It asks the viewer to slow down, to look inward, and to explore what is usually left unspoken.
I believe art can be more than something we look at. It can become something through which we begin to see.
That is why my paintings are not illustrations of emotions or ideas. They are spaces for inner dialogue.
You may look at a painting and see nothing of me. But you may discover something of yourself. And perhaps that is the moment when the hidden becomes visible.
